Hi there! I’m Moritz, born in 2002, originally from the beautiful Salzburg Lungau region in Austria. These days I study environmental and educational sciences in Graz, and when I’m not in class or working at the university (or from home), I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors.

I discovered bikepacking a few years ago, and it completely changed the way I travel. I’m not a speed or performance guy – for me it’s all about slow travel, connecting with nature, and enjoying the moment. I love exploring small backroads with my gravel bike, pedaling through mountain valleys, and occasionally heading towards the sea. Most of the time I travel with a tent, but sometimes a warm shower and a cozy roof over my head are priceless!

Besides biking, I also love hiking in the Alps, wandering along quiet trails, and exploring nature on foot. I rarely drive – I mostly get around by bike, on foot, or with trains and buses. Traveling this way makes me feel free and connected to the landscape.

I’m really into the simple things in life: a quiet sunrise in the mountains, a good meal after a long day outside, or meeting new people on the road. I love learning from different cultures and hearing people’s stories – for me, these encounters are just as valuable as reaching any destination.

Food is also a small passion of mine: I enjoy cooking fresh, mostly plant-based meals with local ingredients. I try to eat in a way that’s healthy, energizing, and fits my sporty lifestyle. Sharing food and stories with new friends is one of my favorite parts of traveling.

When I’m not traveling, I spend a lot of time outdoors in the mountains, and I’m always curious about new places and ways of life. I like to keep my travel style flexible and spontaneous – sometimes helping out, sometimes just sharing a part of the road or a meal, always open to connection.

Hosting and staying with people is, for me, not only about having a place to sleep, but about exchanging experiences, ideas, and inspiration. I believe slow travel and real encounters make journeys unforgettable.
