About Me

What's up! My name is Gustavo, I'm originally from Barranquilla (North Coast). Two years ago I moved to Medellín looking for new adventures and I made it my home for the time being.

I'm a friendly, outgoing, athletic, and open-minded guy. who loves exploring new places and meeting people from different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To keep expanding my horizons. Couch Surfing (CS) gives you the opportunity to engage with locals wherever in the world you go. That's very powerful!

Once you're back home, you can still pick up some of the wanderlust helping others to see your city through your eyes.

Another big reason why I love CS is that when I traveled this platform helped me a lot! I feel the moral obligation to show some gratefulness and give back to this amazing community.

Interests

I'm an individual with a broad range of interests, coding, martial arts, music, books, technology, travel, business, cooking, fitness, partying (sometimes), juggling, space, hiking, languages and the list goes on...

We can talk about the meaning of life and suddenly switch to a silly conversation. That's me.

I would say all that is because I love learning, let me rephrase that. I'm addicted to learning.

  • writing
  • cooking
  • technology
  • reading
  • juggling
  • martial arts
  • hanging out with friends

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is whatever sounds amazing for the mood, jazz, salsa, African beats, techno, indie rock, folk, metal, disco, 80's pop, funk. I'm a music lover.

I love sci-fi movies.

As far as books go, I read mostly about business, martial arts, and self-improvement.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel for 3 months with less than 300 USD.

Getting paid to write in my second language.

Finish law school and never use my degree.

Three solid ones right there. XD

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll teach you how to juggle, speak some Spanish and self-defense moves.

I would like to learn some expressions from your language.

We could share dinner or wine with a nice conversation.
