About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find the machine that reverses gravity, and start it.
ABOUT ME
I live in Copenhagen.
I like geeky things and I like getting in-depth with them. Things like storytelling, the hero's journey, film music, and philosophy are all standard elements of my every day.
Creatively, I mostly write, but in the latest years I've often been influenced much more by music and film than literature.
A little bit more about me:
- I believe in consensus and "Socratic dialog", and think one of humanity's most iconic mistakes is not talking things through, but fighting over them. In favor of direct democracy as an alternative to representative democracy.
- I support the idea of free culture and information, and consequently alternatives to copyright.
- I support the principle of non-aggression and consider myself, to that extent, a pacifist.
- I am /kind of/ religious in a non-denominational, eclectic way. (If you don't ask I won't tell.)
- I'm a flexible dietary vegan for health and ethical reasons. Don't worry, I have no interest in 'converting' you.
- I believe that sexuality should not be an element of scarcity, as is dominantly the case in this world, but an element of abundance, free for all to live and express, or not, as they'd like.
PHILOSOPHY
You can explore the universe looking for somebody who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and you will not find that person anywhere. Self-love is the cure to suffering.
- Benjamin Smythe.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
A friend of mine hosted a couch surfer, who suggested to me that I become a member even if I couldn't host anyone at home, as a way to meet new people and see what experiences might come along.

Music, Movies, and Books
Three directors in particular have consecutively made films that spoke to me very strongly, and these include: The Tree of Life and The Thin Red Line (Terrence Malick), The Dark Knight trilogy; Inception; The Prestige and Insomnia (Christopher Nolan), The Matrix trilogy; Cloud Atlas and V For Vendetta (The Wachowskis). In addition to that, The Lord of the Rings has always ranked very high for me.
Music: I like all kinds of music, but the "field" I particularly like is the place where so many genres from the classical up to the modern electronica meet: film music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One day, I had what the spiritual vernacular terms an "awakening experience".
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share pointers on self-inquiry and non-duality from an experiential and subjective idealist perspective.
