ABOUT ME

I have finally settled on my career choice and it has only taken the last seven years which have included an archaelolgy degree and working in the bank!But radio is for me! I love story telling and want to be able to do that for a living either through radio or writing. I love visiting new cities and meeting people. I am a bit of a tv addict (and by a bit a mean a huge one!) but I am trying to stop this which seems to be working. I love reading and writing. I am also a huge music fan and a bit of a geek.

PHILOSOPHY

Project a good buzz because it'll be infectious.
Friends and family and the two most important things in life because they'll always be there for you...especially when you want to go to the pub!And when all else fails happy dance it out

I'm currently travelling so looking for hosts or people to hang out with and when I get home hopefully pay it forward.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only recently joined the world of couch surfing and have only had one experience in Barcelona but had an amazing time and met great people through it. It was also nice to see the real city and tourist spots.

Interests

I love music of all types and enjoy going to gigs when I can. I wish I was musically gifted but unfortunately that is not the case the extent of my talents is being able to complete songs on easy mode on rock band...and even then not all the time! I'm also a bit of history nerd and usually end up in a museum when I visit a city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: everything and anything but mainly ska and punk. Fave bands would be Madness, The Pogues, Blondie, The Specials, Ac/Dc, No Doubt, Sublime, Elvis...I also have a weakness for cheesy eighties and ninties songs think anything by Starship!
Movies: I like going to the cinema (popcorn) but I'm more of a tv person so things like Fringe, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The West Wing and Arrested Development, community, Once upon a time and Firefly.
Books: Good at starting them not so good at finishing them! but I love James Frey and Douglas Copeland. Also Phillip Pullman's Darkest Material Triology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being in Time Square the night Barack Obama was elected. Crazy doesn't begin to describe that night. If you've seen the South Park episode where he's elected you'll understand what I mean!

Going to the Pyramids of Giza and going into the second largest one. Realising halfway through that I was slightly claustrophobic. No regrets though!

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy cooking so any knowledge I have I'm willing to share. I also enjoy taking about bands with people so I can learn something and hopefully they can do the same. If anyone is interested in radio broadcasting I can also help in any way I can.
