Overview
About Me
I'm Hillary.
Currently, I work as a cheesemonger in Boston. I curate a selection of cheeses at a small store very close to the beach. I'm planning a trip to London with my best friend Anna. I've never been but she studied abroad there a semester. Our tickets are booked for May 1-7, so if you can accommodate any of those dates please let me know!
a little more about me: I graduated SUNY Purchase in May '12. I founded a student-initiative called the Art Co-op on campus. It's a group that aims to recycle materials and be a general space for discourse among people learning new things and it's always great for bartering art supplies! I did my senior project at Purchase on the modern women's roller derby revival. It's a photojournalism project and was great experience, since it's a super interesting sport with lots of empowered women. I also play in a band called baked goods and I sing and play guitar and write songs. its sort of rock and roll.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was involved in the Occupy movement. I keep myself informed about current events. At Purchase, I attended meetings/lectures on philosophy, feminist issues, social change, environmentalism, gardening, and student government.
