About Me
ABOUT ME
I think travel needs to be about more than sightseeing. As much as seeing the world's wonders is a a worthwhile pursuit, my favourite part of travel (and of life) is conversation. Let's talk about anything, have fun, be foolish, become great friends. I think I'm open, interested and knowledgeable, and can be a great surfer or host.
I'm also a native English speaker, - so can certainly help you with your English!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I began couchsurfing after being approached on the street in Tehran, outside Tehran University. A guy came up to me to talk (as happens all the time in Iran), and after only a few minutes he passed his friend's cellphone number on to me, suggesting I should stay at this friends place in Isfahan.
Looking to meet more interesting people, I texted the number, and in a few days found myself staying with my new friend, who happened to be on couch surfing. He suggested I get onto couchsurfing to look for hosts in other cities, which I did - subsequently couchsurfing throughout the middle-east in the 2013-14 winter.
Now we are also hosting couchsurfers at our house in Wellington!
Interests
I love talking, learning, walking, seeing, experiencing, reading and engaging with the world in any way possible.
Perhaps more specifically, if I had to chose just a few things, my greatest interests are arguably literature, politics and education.
