About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be me, and meet you.

ABOUT ME

I try to live in the moment. Live, love, laugh, learn, play, and work hard tends to be my motto. I am happiest outside hiking, biking, playing, doing acro yoga, and learning what it is that you are passionate about. Teach me something new and I will show you what I know in return.

PHILOSOPHY

~"I like nonsense, it wakes up the braincells." ~ Dr Suess

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a couple times, I am often too last minute and without internet to surf as much as I would like. My households have hosted occasionally and it has always been a blast.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fantastic.

Interests

I am happy to try everything at least once, probably twice, and maybe a few extra times just to be sure.

Things I am actively persuing to learn more about: living sustainably, permaculture techniques, fixing my own car, wild edibles, natural remedies, healing arts and dappling with what ever I can get my hands on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always seem to draw a blank... my tastes tend to be all over the place
"A man with out a country" kurt vonnegut, "when the hermit thrush sings" "sometimes a great notion" ken kesey, "permaculture" sepp holzer,...
birdcloud, edward sharp and the magnetic zeros, avett brothers, andrew bird, cake, ccr, jamiroquai, mindless self indulgence, paul simon, ween, xavier rudd....
I dont usually watch many movies, but I'm not gonna lie, I am a huge disney and pixar fan :) I like funny, action adventure type things

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode my bicycle across the country in 2010 on a solo trip from coast to coast. I found that it was an absolutely incredible experience to be able to really be a part of and experience every single piece of space you move through all the way across the country. Being by myself for most of the journey seemed to amplify every experience; it was just me and the sunsets and sunrises, the dew on the grass in the morning, the rain on my face, the mountains that seemed neverending going up and short lived once over them, the cars passing by and the people nearby giving me strange looks as I pedaled through.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn what you know and what you are passionate about and whatever else you would like to share with me.

I can share with you my spontaneous adventures, long distance cycling, walking and hitchhiking tips, I am pretty sure I have spent more time in a tent than in a house these past few years. I know some bicycle and minimal car mechanics, I love to cook and experiment with cooking, I am a licensed massage therapist in North Carolina and I would love to share what I am learning about wild edibles, permaculture, green building, aro yoga, and the healing arts
