Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

I believe in fearlessly living life to the fullest. I just graduated from university, and want to take a look around while I figure out my next step. I am always up for new experiences and adventures, and look forward to traveling for the next year!

ABOUT ME

I am 23 years-old and live to travel and engage in new experiences. I have traveled quite a bit, but this is my first experience in Asia. I love it so far, and look forward to seeing more of Korea and Asia in general.

PHILOSOPHY

Considering I was a philosophy major, this section would get a little too long if I posted all my life philosophies! I do, however, believe that (regardless of your religious affinity) being a good human being is what matters most in life, and I find that I have met some of the best people through this couch surfing community. Trusting people enough to allow strangers into your home and life is something I never thought I could do, nor was it ever something I really even thought of doing, until I found couch surfing. That a system like couch surfing exists and thrives has definitely restored my faith in humanity.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not been participating in Couch Surfing for that long, but have already had some amazing experiences in South Korea because of this fantastic network of people. I hope to participate more by meeting more couch surfers who live in Seoul and my neck of the woods, and by keeping in touch with those who were kind enough to host me. In the future, I hope to host as well, if I have the space to do so :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newbie! However, I did have a lovely couch surfing-esque experience in Gwangju, South Korea. Since no one was around during the holiday weekend I was traveling to Gwangju, a couch surfer put me in contact with a non CS couple who was gracious enough to take me in. They showed me the town, and a truly great time, and it definitely gave me a positive opinion of the couch surfing community.

Intereses

Adventure and exploration, culture, art, good music, film, hiking, and meeting new and interesting people. In Korea, I am really enjoying learning Korean (slowly but surely) and look forward to getting to know the language and people even more during my time here.

Música, películas y libros

I have so many favorite books that I would be writing forever to list them all. I guess that'll have to be something to wait and chat about over coffee or a drink :)

Algo increíble que he hecho

Sleeping under the stars in the Sahara desert, living like a Buddhist monk during a weekend-long temple stay in Korea, jumping off cliffs into the Aegean sea in Greece, and having the opportunity to do all these things and more in my short lifetime are amazing to me.
