About Me

Hey! I'm a musician and audio engineer with a love of artists of all kind. I'm about to wander Europe again, departing my home of New York City on the 4th of July. I'm looking for musicians and artists to collaborate with while abroad. I would love nothing better than to produce an album or EP for a band while I'm there.

I'm doing some soul searching, and would love to absorb perspectives from the people I meet at this crossroads in my life.

I carry around an instrument wherever I go and love to play music for new friends. Everyone is so friendly when there's a stringed instrument involved. At the moment, it is a bright orange ukelele with my best friend's name carved into the back. Johnny Cash covers are always a hit!

I write rock and folk music. I also compose classical music and music for films. For work, I record and produce albums for bands, and record sound on set for film.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Muse, Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens, Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, Simon and Garfunkel, The Dirty Pretty Things, Kasabian, Nico Muhly. I'm really into anything energetic and live. But I'm also into experimental classical music.

Movies: The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Synecdoche New York, Labyrinth, Waking Life, Charlie Chaplin.

Books: Kurt Vonnegut, Ayn Rand, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Leo Tolstoy, H.P. Lovecraft, Phillip K. Dick.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I was swimming to a friend's house when the tide was pulling out of the bay. The current was so strong that we couldn't swim against it. We had to dive down, grab the reeds at the bottom, and pull ourselves along, coming up for air periodically. It wasn't dangerous, but it was fun and we made it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I play music and write songs. I would be happy to show you a few chords on the ukelele, it's really easy. If you're already musical, then let's jam or write a song together. If you're a musician and want to record some music, I have a WORLD of experience with music production and audio technology to share ;)

I'm very curious about many things, especially science, nature, and political philosophy. Whatever your interest, I'm interested in talking to you and learning from you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook up a storm! Especially delicious vegetarian food. I love cooking without a recipe and figuring out something delicious with whatever ingredients we want to use.

And I can play you lots of music. I can play you songs that I wrote or any song that we both know. I can sight read chords.
