Overview
About Me
I grew up on a farm near a small country town in Australia. While growing up I occasionally got to travel overseas with my parents and in doing so I got to appreciate other landscapes and the people who call them home. While growing up I gained a deep connection with the land and taught myself about australian plants and animals and the Indigenous Australian culture.
My passion led me to study environmental science at university. I then worked as an ecologist/environmental consultant a few years before deciding to travel. I believe in travelling as a way to deepen your connections to the world around you and yourself.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m drawn to folk, indie rock and ‘alternative’ music. Favourite artist is Matt Corby.
I like movies that change the way you think, inspire you, uncover some truth or touch on the human experience.
Currently reading ‘The body keep the score’ by Bessel van der Kolk
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing… depends what you personally think is amazing 😂
While not the most awe inspiring thing, I did an 800 metre ocean swim once. I love the ocean and surf, sail and dive in it, however, I deeply fear open water. The ocean swim tested me more much mentally than it did physically. Never felt more alive.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my experience in the places I’ve lived and been too; in environmental science and lines of work in the environment field; in surfing, sailing, climbing and playing outdoors. I can teach you English.. I wish to learn more languages.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well, Australia doesn’t really have its own food culture to share, but I do love making food with people. I can share whatever accomodation I have. I can share recommendations. I can share experiences.
