I am a traveler, explorer, wanderer, and adventure seeker who yearns for the next experience that will push my boundaries, expand my knowledge, and make me feel alive. Not unlike most US travelers I did not start my journey abroad until my undergraduate studies. I have since worked abroad with a wide array of organizations including UNICEF, The Gambia government, Cuban doctors, and so many more. I am currently employed as a Critical Care RN in my hometown of Sioux Falls, SD although I do not claim to live there. I work six twelve hour shifts in a row and then explore for eight days. I can end up in Paris, NYC, Washington D.C., or anywhere imaginable during these lapses in my work schedule. I have friends in most of the locations I travel but do go outside my norm when I am alone somewhere new. I plan on getting a Masters in Development Practice within the next couple of years and exploring all that the world has to offer. The one rule I have when traveling to journey through the area like a local instead of a tourist. I travel alone a majority of the time but do not miss an opportunity to travel with family and friends. I am truly fortunate to have been to the places I have and done the things I have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I attribute my audacity and eagerness to explore the world on my own need for constant challenges and change as well as the beauty that every new moment brings. Travel is not a hobby or passion for me but instead a lifestyle.
