About Me

-- CURRENTLY -–

I can’t host at the moment, but I am keen to meet up. Send me a message and we can try to find a time to explore Barcelona together. :D

--ABOUT ME--

I've been an on-and-off active member of courchsurfing, as both a host and surfer, for several years.

After several years living and working between Scotland and Norway in academia, research projects, teaching, and EdTech, I landed in Barcelona in spring of 2021! Now I work with European urban mobility projects such as electric vehicles, traffic management, urban logistics, urban design, public space, and citizen participation. If this is your thing, ask me about it! 😊

Work life aside, I love being outdoors for walks, hikes, and bike rides. I am an avid reader (especially fiction) and also in recent years have gotten into watching films!

When I travel my priorities are food, museums (especially history and architecture), and meeting people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a host -- When I'm not traveling, it's nice to live vicariously through people passing through my home. I like my daily routine to be shaken by the unfamiliar. I think it's important to be challenged by new viewpoints, ideas, and insights.

As a surfer -- When I am travelling, I sometimes like to surf or to meet up with hosts so I can learn about the local life, cool places to see and to eat, and to find meaningful connections.

In general -- I love that some of my past surfers and past host have left a mark on my life in small, but important ways. Some I have even been able to meet again in other places to reconnect and share life updates and reflections. <3
