About Me

Hello! I am easy-going, low-maintenance, and hard to offend. I am flexible and like to try new things. I am genuine with people, compassionate, and like to hear people's stories. I like to have fun, but sometimes it's hard for me to BE a fun and bubbly person. I tend to prefer spending time with a small group of people rather than large gatherings of strangers. I get really uncomfortable when I have to dance unless I've had a few drinks (working on overcoming this fear). I like to make food for people. I like to learn and teach others how things work. I'm a bit of a science nerd. I don't watch much TV. Ask me whatever you like! I'm an open book. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently I am walking the Te Araroa trail in New Zealand and am looking for cheap/free places to stay when I pass through some of the bigger cities like Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, etc. I will be on the road for a long time so I will be unable to host guests, but someday when I have a place to live again (with roommates who are willing) I would love to host some guests.

Teach, Learn, Share

Seems like this is something I could do better in person.

Here's one tip: if you like to carry biscuits or crackers while hiking you can put them in an empty Pringles tube to prevent them from getting crushed!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make you food, clean up and do some chores, tell you about my life and where I have been. I love to help.
