About Me

Hi, I'm Taylor. I love the outdoors, board games, good movies, good food and good company. I'm a former athlete, and usually looking for some kinda activity to do to satiate a former need for movement.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm biking across the country. While I'm usually going to camp, I'll occasionally need to grab a warm shower and use some amenities of a modern home.

Also, I love meeting new people. I'd say I'm somewhat addicted to it, in fact. I'd much rather crash at someone's place than get a private AirBNB or hotel room, even if I could afford the latter. I tend to find myself in lots of small bubbly communities, and it helps me expand my horizons if I branch out. So, if you're not like me whatsoever, chances are I'll still love meeting you!

Music, Movies, and Books

*Music*
Currently really into Kendrick Lamar (D.A.M.N was a great album if ya missed it). I have a broad range of music tastes though. The only genre I'm not big into is Drum and Bass / Hyper-produced electronic music.

*Books*
I'm much more of a non-fiction person. Favorite recent one: Evicted by Matthew Desmond. Other favorites:
- Good Calories Bad Calories by Gary Taubes
- Outliers by Malcom Gladwell
- A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was once ranked #1 in my age group for U.S. Cross Country Skiers.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what this section means, but I'm assuming I need to teach, learn and share something?

*Teach*
I could teach a lot about nutrition at this point. I have strong preferences for high-fat diets (mixed with appropriate other lifestyle choices). I could also teach why many higher carb diets are objectively bad for many people.

*Learn*
I'd LOVE to learn how to dance. Swing dancing seems like a great intro. You wanna teach me?

*Share*
I'm a half decent cook! I could share an eating experience with ya

Countries I’ve Visited
