About Me
Hello surfers!
My name is Taylor and I would like to share with you a bit of my personal His-story. I grew up in a home in East Texas and after highschool made my way to the live music capital of the world (Austin, TX) to follow my passion for acoustics and music. It was here that I went to school for Sound Engineering and Recording. I spent nearly all of my 20's here (im 26 now) until in 2015 I decided to sell off the vast majority of my personal belongings and search for simplicity and true happiness. Since then I have spent time living in an off-grid spiritual community in the mountains outside Taos, NM, completed a longtime goal of becoming a licensed massage therapist, and backpacked through Central America for 5 months. I am now fully licensed in Western and Thai Massage and want to take my travels far and wide to share my experiences, my music, and healing touch with as many wonderful people as I can meet in a lifetime.
A bit more about me, I am a musician and play a rare and unique instrument known as a handpan (more commonly as a Hang Drum). I have some recorded music that you can check out for free here.

I love animals (sometimes more than people). I love reading, cooking, collaborating, climbing trees, and lounging in hammocks. I enjoy yoga, meditation, tattoos, and cuddling.
I have had some light experience with WWOOFing which is an amazing work exchange on organic farms and am also looking to travel using Workaway (another work exchange but not on farms).
I havent used couchsurfing much at the time im writing this because the thought of asking to stay on a strangers couch without any exchange of services has been a hard thing for me to do as I always like to do my far part but recently I have come to terms with the wonderful nature of human beings and am open to accepting kindness in any form that its available.
I look forward to meeting so many amazing people, hearing incredible stories, and passing along the wonderful gift of body work that ive acquired.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
