About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world while meeting new people and friends.. Experience the different cultures, nature, and ways of life the world has to offer and have an adventure while doing it. Life is too short to stay in one place your whole life!
ABOUT ME
I'm a veterinary assistant born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love music more than most things; listening, studying, and performing it. Besides that I'm fascinated by astronomy and science. I'm addicted to travelling and just got back from 5 months backpacking Europe. I love to meet new people and talk about anything at all. I'm always eager to learn new things.
PHILOSOPHY
We have an infinite capacity for knowledge as human beings and I intend on learning and experiencing anything and everything I possibly can. Life is too short to not experience all of what our beautiful Earth has to offer. This is why I'm going to see as much of it as I can before I'm too old, through travel, literature and even music.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Going to meetups is great, and I've enjoyed showing travelers around my hometown, Las Vegas. The excitement visitors have to my city reminds me of all the fun I can have without traveling. Hosting (when I can) people from all over the world and learning about how our lifestyles differ just by location. Surfing is the best way to travel, you can make friends everywhere you go!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfing in a lakeside mansion in Norway, and met one of my closest friends surfing in Vienna. Had a blast surfing with four people in Portland and exploring the Colombia River Gorge. I attend the meetups in each new city I visit.
I host whenever I can, though having quit my job to travel I haven't had the opportunity lately.
Interests
Music, vinyl collecting, animal studies, nature, hiking history, the ocean, space, literature, cooking, dancing to live music, whatever is interesting. I really enjoy talking about and learning anything new so no subject is off limits.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is the voice of the soul. My favorite artists are Rush, Frank Zappa, Primus, Tom Waits, John Coltrane, Pink Floyd, Jaco Pastorius, Death, Queen, King Crimson, Ween, Grateful Dead, Miles Davis, Eagles, Led Zeppelin, the Mars Volta, Revocation, and Opeth just off the top of my head..
I love almost all types of music and appreciate each for what it has to offer. My favorites are funk, soul, jazz, heavy metal, classical, blues and southern/classic rock.
Movies: I like comedies and am a big Mel Brooks fan. I like all kinds of movies, I've spent most of my life studying music so haven't seen as many movies as I should have.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Left my job and hometown to backpack Europe for 4 months. 14 countries and 23 cities by train, foot and car. Followed by a road trip from Las Vegas through San Francisco, Point Reyes, Mendocino Redwoods, Eugene, Portland and Yosemite with dozens of stops between. Too many great stories to tell!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a self-proclaimed music encyclopedia. I love sharing and discussing new music of all genres and learning of new artists in exchange. The only thing I love more is actually playing it.
Let's talk about space. Or history. Or animals. I'm pretty much open to any kind of discussion!
I know some strange and good recipes and like learning cuisine from other parts of the world. Okay, I just love eating.
I can introduce you to a craft beer you'll love based on your tastes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation and company, and can cook a good meal! I like to bring along souvenirs and stories from Vegas to share with those who haven't been.
