Music: The Beatles, the books, do make say think, mercury program, fionn regan, caribou, pink floyd, mars volta, various local acts, etc.

Books:
Poets and Poetry: Pablo Neruda is undoubtedly my favorite, Fernando Pessoa, Naomi Shihab-Nye, Stephen Dunn, Robert Pinsky, Basho, Ted Kooser, John Ashberry, e.e. cummings, Dionisio Martinez, May Swenson, Norman Dubie, Billy Collins, and George Bilgere are all highly favored.

read animal liberation, by peter singer. it's good for you.

Prose: Top Five and most recent favorites (in no particular order) The One-Hundred Years of Solitude (Gabriel Garcia Marquez), Siddhartha (Herman Hesse), For Whom the Bell Tolls (Ernest Hemingway), Walden (Henry David Thoreau), and East of Eden (John Steinbeck). I also really enjoyed The Letters of Vincent van Gogh, The Dharma Bums (Jack Kerouac). I'll read most anything.
