I am an event/music/celebrity photographer for Getty Images and travel throughout the country to shoot events.

ABOUT ME

Summations are rough on anyone. I have my basic needs taken care of and work on building memories that I can take with me into that long winter's night when I am less mobile or settled down. I love a tall building, a sandy beach, a story, a good restaurant, and good company. I enjoy friendly people and am a believer in Southern hospitality, telling people hello and asking them how they are doing, and otherwise working to build new and exciting experiences for myself and others re: all sorts of adventures into which I stumble.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Coffee and a drink is a given - sadly unable to host at the moment, but give me a shout whenever you are in the Rocket City. I tend to go in the day before a shoot to relax and experience a city, then shoot the event, then upload and head home the next day. I am happy to take a host out to dinner, the quality of which will depend on my budget at the time, and teach a few photography lessons.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I nicknamed it couch-hopping and was a skilled couch-hopper before I ever found my way into this website, which I was told about by a member on whose couch I stayed. My record was a 12-day, five-couch stint in New York City to shoot the All Points West Festival before going to DC to capture Van Morrison performing Astral Weeks in its entirety. I tend not to stay too long and keep good relationships with my friends that way. The way I had couchsurfed before this site was to run a "sort friends by network" on Facebook and go from there.

Interests

Photography, music, the live experience of music, World War I literature, a good bar, bad karaoke, tapas, people watching, dancing, grassroots campaigns, anything that gets me off the couch and into the world.
