Overview
About Me
Currently traveling the world with my orange tabby cat, looking for a utopia with a very esoteric list of qualities. I've been nomadic since December 2023, so far visiting 14 places along the way, with most of my time spent in Mexico, Spain, and Portugal. I've also checked out Ireland, France, Chile, and a few US cities on this trip, but in total I've been to 29 countries including the US. I grew up in Houston, Texas, but have lived in Austin, Seattle, and (briefly) Nashville. I'm redefining my life and looking to meet cool people along the way.
I've never met a stranger. My friends say they love having me in cabs because I talk to the driver (I used to drive myself). I find it impossible to conceive of a person I have nothing in common with, and if I were to find them that would be a commonality in itself - we'd have in common that we had nothing in common. I am outspoken and passionate, thoughtful, and curious, and I love meeting people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first couch surfed in July of 2013 at a gorgeous little house in St. Louis. Since then I've been hosted by some truly lovely individuals who have opened their homes to me, for which I am forever grateful. My dream is to find a place that feels like home, and have a property with multiple rooms I can share with others.
There's also an energy to travelers and surfers that I deeply enjoy. Before doing it, I imagined solo traveling to be quiet and solitary, but it's often the opposite - people are much more willing to approach you, and you make far more friends. I love engaging in shared humanity, philosophical conversations, and diversity of thoughts and experiences, and I find couchsurfers particularly rich in those qualities.
Interests
I love creativity in all its forms, hearing about the lived experiences, passions, and opinions of others, having philosophical conversations, and finding shared passions.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love art, camp, queer, absurdity, and pop culture.
A few of my favorite films are The Holy Mountain, Southland Tales, Caravaggio, Spring Breakers, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Fallen Angels, Some Like it Hot, Magnolia, The Cell, The Florida Project, Sunday in the Park with George, Jodorowsky's Dune, and I Saw the TV Glow.
Favorite music is often pop, but sometimes post-rock or avant-garde compositions. I am a big Swiftie.
Favorite books: I just reread Speaker for the Dead and am currently restarting The Golden Compass series. I got out the habit of reading, but am getting back into it now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in my early 20's I couldn't eat in a restaurant by myself. At 24, I got on a plane to Bangkok by myself with nothing but the first 2 nights in a hostel booked and a flight out of Hong Kong 6 weeks later.
But I'm currently 4 months into traveling the world (3 of those with my cat).
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm currently learning Spanish and some Portuguese
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a passion for organizing, so if you have any spaces you'd like to tackle, I would love to help! I also love hiking, camping, and doing most outdoor activities, so if you'd like to do that together, let me know.
