ABOUT ME

Hey all :)

I am of Japanese and Canadian descent, born in Japan and grew up in Australia. I am currently in my 5th year of university studying law and finance. I also bartend at a cocktail bar and train gymnastics a few times a week.

I spent last year studying abroad in Prague where I heard about this website and both Erasmus and couchsurfing were really good experiences!

I love just kicking back, chilling out, partying and having a good time.

PHILOSOPHY

If we went to a Halloween party dressed as Batman and Robin, I'd go as Robin. That's how much you mean to me...

I learned about this website while on Erasmus in Prague and think its a great idea. I'd love to be able to meet new people this way because I really think its awesome that people are willing to meet and take strangers into their home - it takes a lot of trust to do that.

I love being social (really really social) and meeting new people.

I'm into sports: gymnastics, gym, tennis...used to play baseball, bit of basketball

Used to play violin for 10 years, now I've scaled it down..also used to play piano and guitar a little.

But most of all I have a passion and curiosity for exploring life and the world and that is why I signed up :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One night in Fiji, a group of us were all sitting on the beach around a bonfire. As time went on, everyone slowly trudged off to sleep until I was the only one left on the sand. With no electricity around us and with only the moon illuminating the waves as the embers started to die, I laid down and looked to the stars. The stars were the clearest that I had ever seen them and it cleared my mind and I lost myself in their intricate pattern. I took in the crackling sound of the slowly dying fire, the sound of the waves quietly breaking on the shore and gripped the sand in between my toes - I had never felt so in touch with myself and nature. It was the most peaceful that I have ever been.

It's not spectacular, it doesn't involve me doing some great thing or seeing some amazing sight - but this simple act was lifechanging for me.

What can I teach - wow I've never actually considered myself a teacher before..

well apart from the skills i listed above (bartending, music, sport), i'm a cheerful dude whose always out meeting new people..i guess you'd have to meet me to find out more!
