About Me
I'm new to couchsurfing. I'm interested in going hiking and exploring what places have to offer. I used to work in tourism so I know a few ropes but always appreciate the aid of locals. I am a kind, hospitable person who wants to experience quotidian life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To experience what it means to live in a country, to meet people, and to learn another way that people travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Imagine Dragons, Natasha Beddingfield, Grégoire, & 1990-2000s Country
Movie: How to Train Your Dragon & The Nightmare before Christmas.
Book: I read about anything -- personal finance, young adult fiction, tourism/hospitality industry, short stories by O. Henry, research of the commemorative landscape in The Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters, analysis of volunteer functions in USA and Europe, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1) Took a selfie with the lead singer of Doolin' (a French-Celtic band) in summer 2019
2) Memorized a book by Dr. Seuss called And to Think That I saw it on Mulberry Street
3) Volunteering still with a career education nonprofit helping students prepare for their first jobs
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm ready for all three. I like language exchanges. I am native in English (clear Midwest accent) and am learning French, Spanish, Catalan, and German.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A sense of humor. I can teach you how to play card games like UNO, Phase 10, Skip-Bo, Rummy, and Pitch. I am not afraid to help clean the house -- sweep, dust, wash dishes, vacuum, etc -- as needed. I can also make Oreo brownies the American way.
