ABOUT ME
After I graduated from Hamline University in St.Paul, MN in 2007 I decided I wanted to see a bit of the world before I got too serious about life. I didn't have the money to just go and travel so I took a job with a family living in Marbella, Spain. They ended up doing a significant amount of traveling and luckily I got to go with on many of the trips... We ended up moving to Vienna, Austria in the fall of 2008. I was planning on moving home to the US in October but was contacted by a friend of the family living in Austria and offered a new and much better job. I now teach English to 2-6 year-olds in a kindergarten just outside Vienna. I still do a bit of traveling whenever possible and love that I am now experiencing things I had never imagined I'd be able to do in my life.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't need to know where I'm going, just need to know where I've been.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books I'm reading now:
Guns, Germs & Steel- Jarod Diamond
La Casa de los Espiritus- Isabel Allende
I love movies... right now my favorites are, El Laberinto del Fauno, Hairspray, Pride and Prejudice, Pirates of the Carribean, Harry Potter, The Holiday, The Labyrinth (and so many more!)
Currently I'm listening to Frank Sinatra but I love anything from classical to house :-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a swimmer at the Universtiy I went to. One of our training trips was to St. Croix, Virgin Islands. We did a sea swim competition there which consisted of swimming a mile in the sea. This was not only very challenging for me physically since I was a sprinter but also a bit nerve racking swimming in the middle of the sea! It ended up being so much fun and the best feeling once I finished. (And I didn't finish last so that was also a plus!)
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching is something I love to do... I am hoping that I can share my travel experiences and knowlege of different cultures and languages with others.
Personally, I'm very unexperienced at cooking/baking... this is something I would love to learn to do better. I'm currently trying to teach myself and it isn't going so well.
