About Me
Hi there
I love to travel to beautiful places in the world and am currently in NZ to visit as many places as I can. I did a working holiday in NZ in 2005 in the North Island but unfortunately didn't see as much as I wanted. This trip is rectifying all that.
I absolutely love hiking, exploring and photography and this trip I am driving around 1 month in the South Island, 1 week in Fiji and about 2.5 weeks in the North Island. I will be in the North from around the 1st April, with the plan being to head up to the very top of the North Island and then go down the east coast, neither of which I have explored before!
About me back in Perth:
I work full-time in the city and I cycle to and from work which takes between 1hr 15min to 1hr 30min either way, which keeps me pretty busy during the week!
I purchased my very own house in Dec 2015 in the suburb of South Lake which is about 21 km south of Perth City (20min by car).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am interested in meeting like minded people from other parts of the world - both that I host back in Perth, or that would like to host me while I am on my adventure in their part of the world.
I would love to hear about the lives and experiences of locals, hear what the best hikes are near them, even come on some hikes with me if they feel inclined! I have stayed in quite a few Couchsurfer places in Italy and Austria and found the local knowledge and insights invaluable.
I am a considerate person who wishes to make new friends and to share my experiences and try something new. I am a good house guest and am a completely independent person who is happy to do my own thing but also is happy to share some stories and have a chat, clean up after myself, help out, cook and will consider your hospitality an honour :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went on my first holiday at 19 to New Zealand, on my own to do a working holiday where I stayed for 7 months. I had the absolute time of my life.
Purchased my own house in Perth - on my own.
Teach, Learn, Share
Share and learn from others, their experiences and perceptions.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I always seem to end up in some sort of philosophical conversation with people about life and experiences and I really like that. I want to listen, learn and share what I hear and see with other like minded people.
