ABOUT ME

My favorite past times involve music and the outdoors, learning and playing board games.

I worked for the state of MA for five years doing water quality work, have 15 years cumulative childcare experience, served as a youth camp property caretaker, and many years coordinating volunteers. Prior to that my work was in environmental education, public outreach and water quality at the local, regional and national levels. Now I'm starting up new version of my coaching business that began pre C, focused on connection.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been in Tucson since Dec 2020 after a five month travel camping journey, having left Western Massachusetts to follow a calling to the SW and to find a new home with less humidity and mold.

I've been doing a 5 month petsit and housesit since May, which ends on October 1st. As a "restart" (had to let go of belongings due to mold invisibily taking over my rental of ten years), i'm still rebuilding. I have a part-time job in Tucson and do part-time childcare, with the occassional petsit tossed in. My joy, and future primary income stream will be my coaching work. I've just begin recrafting that business after my relocation. All income combined, isn't enough to pay a typical Tucson rent. So, I'm looking for more housesitting opportunities in AZ and maybe CO or Northern TX. I'm also seeking property management positions and affordable room rentals.

In the meanwhile, I need a backup plan for October. I'm here looking for possibilities for the greater Tucson area (October) and creative opportunities for after (AZ communities at 5000ft and up would be ideal). In the meanwhile, I'll be able to save a bit more for possible room rental.

I do need a clean and organized home. For more than a few days, preferably not within sight of cell towers (I'm sensitive to EMF). That's a challenge here in Tucson. I prefer nature and would be willing to drive 30 minutes plus from you if you are outside of town. Thank you!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left most of what I owned in dumpsters when mold invisibilty took over my home and tried to take over my health. I put my health first over and over again, chosing in May of 2021 to drive to the SW, exact destination uknown to find a healthier place to live. I was a car camping nomad for 6+ months looking for "home" and enjoying nature.
