Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Packed my life into a bag two months ago to travel the world for the next six so am more likely to start off as a prospective guest on this site, but when I'm rich and famous you are all welcome to stay at the mansion!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have only been lucky enough to experience this twice before but this website comes highly recommended by friends who have been guests and hosts many a time, so I'm ready to learn more!

M-U-S-I-C (everything from techno, deep house, and electronica to classic psychedelic rock and soul), climbing, bouldering, hiking, the beach, travel, visionary & installation art, festivals, technology, cooking, reading, the great outdoors, exploring the wild, trading stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite movie is "The Fall" by Tarsem and Spike Lee.....also love good documentaries and comedies. Reading wise I like things by Hunter S., Irvine Welsh, Kerouac, Philip K. Dick, or Bret Easton Ellis.

Musically..... Bonobo, Four Tet, Emancipator, Burial, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Tribe Called Quest, the Fugees, Marley, Stimming, Manu Chao, the xx, Tycho, SBTRKT, classic psychedelic rock....the list goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some travel memories which still make me smile are remembering having spent all night climbing Mt Fuji to watch the sunrise from the top; snowmobiled through a whiteout on a glacier in Iceland; rode (and sometimes crashed) motorbikes down the south west coast of India; gone rock climbing on cliffs of a remote stone island in Thailand; swam in phosphorescence at an abandoned beach in Oman, and spent some of the best weeks of my life with close friends and new friends at a gathering in the middle of the Nevada desert.
