About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm staying here in Gillette for a while. So I thought it could keep things interesting to host people from outside, give them a good time and learn from them. I'm paying my dues up front for when it's my turn to travel.
ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty personable fellow. I am always polite and respectful to others. At the same time, I enjoy a good laugh, enjoy listening to and telling stories and hearing other people's point of view. Some say that I am a bit of a hobo because of my unkempt beard and penchant for buying things like beans and vegetables in large quantities. Sometimes, I can be on the quiet side, but I love an engaging conversation, doing fun things and try my best to be an all around nice guy.
PHILOSOPHY
I think I'm still trying to figure out what my philosophy is. I hope it doesn't sound too unoriginal to say that I just follow the Golden Rule. I believe everything should be questioned, nothing taken for granted. I understand that this can be hard.
I try not to need to many things, because I don't want to take more than I need and I don't want to limit my own freedom.
In the end, I think friendship and devotion to others around you are amongst the most important things in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've enjoyed books by Kurt Vonnegut, Arthur C. Clarke. Jon Krakauer, Mark Jenkins, Phillip K. Dick, Ted Chiang, Dostoevsky, Milton, Octavia Butler, Tokien Ann Enright and George Orwell to name a few.
I am an unrepentant Beatles fan and a fool for Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and The Who. I'm pretty obsessed with The Pixies and Guided By Voices. Classical Music and Jazz are also a fine choice for an evening As for movies, I'm no expert. I liked the latest Batman movies. Dumb and Dumber is always a good pick me up.
If you have some good movies that I should watch in order to make me a better, more sophisticated person I'm game. That goes for music and books too. I'm always looking for something new to get into.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Back in 2010, I got to climb an 18,000-foot mountain in Peru. The challenge of climbing the glacier and satisfied my need to do something challenging. At the same time, I got to witness immense formations of ice in their raw, wild form.
Today, I went out running on the golf course at the end of the day and went to the top of a hill. The sun, sinking over the Bighorn Mountains cast mysterious shadows over the miles of buttes stretching out in all directions. The sky was lit up deep orange and pink. I stood there for a while, just taking it all in.
Okay, maybe I'm laying the melodrama on a little too thick. I'm just trying to say that it was pretty cool.
