ABOUT ME

I'm a San Francisco native living in Iceland working for an Arctic non-profit.

I love speaking French, Swedish, and Russian whenever I get the chance. I'm also into exploring cities, reading, eating, cycling, rock climbing, outrigger canoe, and dancing like a fool. And on the more serious side, I also enjoy talking about languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed in Korea and Sweden, and started hosting in Iceland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found out about CouchSurfing when I gave a walking tour of San Francisco to the two women who told me about Couchsurfing. They were staying close to the bakery where I worked, and when they came in for some food, I mentioned that I was going to Korea soon without a definite place to stay. They recommended Couchsurfing to me, and I walked around San Francisco with them the next day because they wanted a guide who spoke French.

I stayed with two different hosts from CouchSurfing.com in Korea two weeks later and had a great time of it.

I'm really good at explaining English grammar to those who are struggling with the language, and I'm always happy to be on the receiving end with Icelandic, Swedish, Russian, French, and Japanese. I also make a mighty tasty lentil curry!
