About Me

I am a contemporary naturalist Painter, specializing in figures, landscape, and portraits.
My fisrt name is Thomas, but I go by my middle name, Caleb.
I am an experienced and avid outdoor enthusiast, spending as much time fly fishing, hiking, and backpacking as life and work allow.
Family, friends, truth, and real things are most important to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For my art career I have to travel a good deal, and as I build recognition and accomplishment I need to economize as much as possible. Besides, meeting new people and making new friends is far better than the faceless anonymity of chain hotels.

Interests

A lover of beautiful things, wild places, honest thought, earnest curiosity, and true people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One...hmmm, I don't think I can chose just one:

Hiked the TCT solo, got chased by a Moose, crossed paths with a Wolverine, climbed a 12k peak, swam in a glacier lake, caught and ate wild brook trout, hiked through snow and sleet storms.....

Jumped off 40ft clifs into prestine mountain pools.

Free soloed a few unnamed vertical faces.

and others
