About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy life, make others laugh, meet people who contribute life and love to society through sharing their experiences.
ABOUT ME
I moved from Monterey, California to the Caribbean in the late 90's after selling my massage practice. I worked on a dive boat till I got my Dive Master rating and then took over a the Captain's position running a dive boat throughout the British Virgin Islands.
I switched from sail to motor when I realized that it was a better platform from which to base a career in boating.
I spend my time traveling for a living on boats; deliveries, charters, etc... Believe it or not, this is work. These boats are anywhere from 25m to 45m, anyplace in the world, though, mostly US East coast and the Caribbean.
Now I make my home in Stockholm, Sweden where I have a great network of friends, a fantastic wife and two amazing boys.
I love to meet people who share a similar passion for life. If you're not having fun at what you're doing, it's your own fault. Life is all about choice so make the choices that make you happy!
PHILOSOPHY
Trust that the net will be there...jump!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My contribution to this project is that of sharing; not only a place to stay but also life experiences. The more we know about other cultures and other people, the better understanding and the more accepting we tend to be. Until you understand another person's perspective, you cannot walk even a moment in their shoes.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I was in Quebec City, Quebec, I did get some really great responses and on-line help from locals involved in the CS project. Also, I was hosted in Orlando and had a great experience.
Great dinner in Holland and 2 in Shanghai!
Scooter ride through Pune, India and wedding crashing!
Exploring forts from the 1200's in India
Mainly, I am traveling for business and don’t need a place to stay but really enjoy meeting up with locals to get some insight on the area.
Everyone I meet from the CS experience is adventurous and friendly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I have ever seen/experienced is the birth of both of my sons. Diving in Fiji with fifteen, 230kilo bull sharks was pretty good I must admit.
Teach, Learn, Share
How to sail. Lots of local knowledge about Bahamas, Caribbean, East coast. How to get into a yachting career. How to build rustic mountain furniture. Great dive sites in the Bahamas and the best beaches. How to start a private massage practice. Stories of travel and adventure.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Knowledge, stories, bar tricks, fun conversation and with any luck, a good meal!
