About Me

For myself, I would say I’m a creative, versatile and curious optimist. And that's why I'm often late (oh I could do this and this and this - in time). I study psychology and love what I study because of the broadness it gives me. Because of my wide interests, I still haven’t decided in which field I would like to “settle” (and probably never will), so I like to joke that my versatility is sometimes a curse as my day hasn’t got enough hours to make everything I wanted to do. I like to look at every experience as an opportunity to learn something new. Apart from psychology, my another great love is music. I was singing in different choirs from my kindergarten days till high school and currently I sing in an a capella group and as a back vocalist in a funk band. Few years ago I fell in love with the ukulele because I can bring it with myself wherever I go, and besides laughter (people say I laugh a lot), bring some music as well.

I get inspired by many things - almost any kind of art, stories, music, ideas, people, words, actions, colors, the night sky, clouds, sunsets and sunrises... This quote caught my thoughts lately so it felt great to put it here to describe my view of the fascinating world :)

"I was thinking how amazing it was that the world contained so many lives. Out in these streets people were embroiled in a thousand different matters, money problems, love problems, school problems. People were falling in love, getting married, going to drug rehab, learning how to ice-skate, getting bifocals, studying for exams, trying on clothes, getting their hair-cut and getting born. And in some houses people were getting old and sick and were dying, leaving others to grieve. It was happening all the time, unnoticed, and it was the thing that really mattered." —Jeffrey Eugenides, Middlesex

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find Couchsurfing very exciting, because I find people exciting as well! Differences among people amaze me, especially when it comes to people from different places on our planet. I'd like to make friends all over the world - to share ideas and thoughts, learn about and discover other cultures at first hand, listen to their experiences and make them feel like home in my home.

I really love to travel, but I'm still not managing to travel as much as I really want to. So, when I first found out about CS, the idea that you sometimes don't need to travel yourself, but can meet someone who's travelling, share stories and make connections - and that that kind of experience can be like travelling as well!

Also, the more I travel, the more I appreciate to meet the locals from the place, to follow their suggestions, to listen to their perspectives and get to know the place through the people who live in it :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer rock music, blues, jazz, funk, indie-rock, classical music... But I don't really make exceptions - I like every sound and every kind of music that gives me goosebumps. My favorite kind of evenings are when someone is playing an instrument and everyone sings along!

When it gets to movies, I prefer psychological dramas, biographies, mystery and crime movies. I like movies which can make you both laugh hard and cry. I like some TV shows as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about Croatian culture, music, language, psychology, how to read people's minds... (sure!)

I want to learn about your culture, habits, language!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a beer with you, stories, thoughts, a smile and positive energy :)
