About Me
Hi!
I'm Tea, born and still living in Croatia. I'm a designer, illustrator and jewelry maker. At the moment I'm working remotely as a UX/UI designer in an IT company.
My free time is usually used for relaxing, spending time in nature, drawing, travelling, beer tasting, hanging out with nice people, learning and upgrading skills and exploring.
I'm a very sensitive person but trying to be rational whenewer possible. I learn by reading, experiencing, obeserving and listening. It's usually easier for me to ''see'' something than say it. I'm always trying to help and find the best solution for everything.
PS. I'm an introvert so I could seem shy, quiet, bored, boring or weird at first. Don't worry, it all gets fun when ''the ice breaks''. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing years ago because I love to travel and meet interesting people. I'm very curious and I like moving so much. It makes me feel alive. Living in a small city made me ''hungry'' for exploring the rest of the world. My family is not so rich in material so I could only read and dream about people, cultures and places that I'll meet some day. After some years, I've finished my studies, got a job and had an opportunity to host and meet some people. Also, in 2019, I've used CS for the first time as a guest on my trip to Berlin and Copenhagen. It was a beautiful experience.
AS A CS GUEST
Eventhough it may seem I'm only looking for a place to stay, it's never like this. Yes, I'm short with money so I'm tryng to save where I can. Accomodation is usually the most expensive part, even if we're talking about travelling or living. I don't ask for more than a safe place to keep my bag and have some rest. It's the functional part of trip that needs to be there as it is. Besides that, as an easygoing, smart and kind person I really enjoy to spend time with people, make new friends and experiences. I'm very flexibile so we could hangout, share some stories, cook and eat together or at least drink a cup of tea in the morning and continue with whatever each of us planned. That's why I like CS, openminded and simple people that stay out of drama make me happy and give me the faith in humanity.
AS A CS HOST
I'm a people pleaser so it feels rewarding. I don't see a problem to host someone in need. Also, it nice to meet people around the world and talk about their experiences, thoughts and fears.
Interests
I have a lot of interests and I am usually torn apart around them. 😅 I'm a 24/7 designer and I really enjoy it. Graphic, product, packaging, jewelry design, you name it, I love it. Engineer in me has a need to make things not only good looking but functional.
When I don't work I am dedicated to illustration, listening to music, going to concerts and exhibitions and hanging out. Jewellery design is my newest hobby. I like working with metals, especially with silver. I've tried to use epoxy/resine and wood as a materials too. Rings are my favourite to design and make.
I'm a food lover. Still trying to figure out cooking but I'm better in baking and preparing desserts. It feels like play and it's fun! Beer counts as a food and I prefer craft ones. Imperial IPAs are my favourite at the moment. Would like to cook mine one day and design my own beer brand and packaging.
Also, I have a passion for Psychology and Aerial silks. Riding a bike and walking are great too. They make my body and mind in a better shape.

Music, Movies, and Books
Alternative music but it really depends. As everything else I like very different kinds of music and I'm always open for something new. Some of the artists from my playlist are: Chinawoman, Queen, The Doors, Nouvelle Vague, Koop, The kings of convenience, Underground youth, Hooverphonic, Josipa Lisac, Nipplepeople, Svemirko, Brkovi etc.
I feel like it's very hard to find a new movie that I'd like. These are worth mentioning: Chocolat, What we do in the shadows, Amelie, Jeux d'enfants, Goodbye Lenin, The song of the sea, The Invisible guest, Wild stories, The holy mountain(I love Alejanfro Jodorowsky), Her, Trainspotting. I don't have much time for watching series but I liked Dark, Black Mirror, Fleabag and Pushing Daisies.
Unfortunately I don't read books so much anymore. The last novel I've read was Shadow of the wind and other novels from Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I read a lot of articles and posts about various themes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Finished my studies while working full time or more with many complications around. It was hard but I'm proud of it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Isn't everything about it, teach, learn and share? You learn something new and have a chance to share it or teach someone to it. This is how we grow. It's a bit hard to write what could this be because it could be anything, material or non-material.
We could definitely share some stories. They give us a chance to teach and/or learn.
I could definitely teach you something about life and living, design, show you the software I'm using etc.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Everything from ''Teach, Learn, Share'' section with some fine food, beer or tea. Also, I am glad to share my time, listen to you, give an advice if needed and help with cleaning, cooking or hosting back at my place.
