ABOUT ME

I'm 23, and just completed a masters degree studying wildlife film production in the UK. Now I'm searching for an adventure, to go places that will inspire me, and to meet different people around the world. This is where couchsurfing comes in! I'm open to new ideas, new ways of doing things, new foods, new cultures, I'm hoping to take alot away with me but with my backpack no heavier.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm travelling and hoping to surf many SE Asian couches! I don't want a quick hello and goodbye and a free place to sleep, I want to get to know my host, help around the house, and experience all they have to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed a few times now. I wouldn't say highly experienced but I've surfed a few times, and all I can say is that I love it. To be thrust into a culture is the best way to experience it. All my encounters through this website have been unbelievable and unforgettable. May I experience the same a hundred times more! please.

I love music and film, nature, sports especially football, the great outdoors, a cold beer with friends, new things, a good book, my dog, walking, running, cycling, festival-going, photography, film-making, conservation, and hopefully this list will keep growing.

Movies - everything from Harold Lloyd silent comedy through to modern day action blockbusters, this is not restricted to English speaking films - I love french new wave films and Japanese/Korean horrors. My favourites include eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, safety last, breathless, rear window, dumb and dumber, lost in translation, singing in the rain, the third man, fight club, teenage mutant ninja turtles, ghostbusters, american history X, tale of two sisters.

Music - nothing beats live music; the atmosphere, sweat, the anticipation! I just as much enjoy a hangbanging session with a long haired, tattooed, sweaty man as I do raving to techno until the early hours. My favourites include deftones, johnny Cash, the rolling stones, metallica, dosh, four tet, boys noize, death cab for cutie, the cure, the smiths, deadmau5, baths, sigur ros, frightened rabbit, the beatles. I'm hoping couchsurfers can help me add to this list.

Books - I love reading biographies of interesting people and bands, I also like novels and cult classics. Some of my favourites include less than zero and american psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk books choke, fight club, haunted and rant, marilyn mansons autobiography, moby dick, harry potter, Stephen king novels.

I'm lucky enough to come from a place that affords me a safe home, loving family, and the ability to travel. To me this is amazing and something I will never take for granted.
