ABOUT ME

Completely consumed with the study of 'nanotechnology' - thats where my fortune will be made, thats where I will make my most significant contribution to the earth.

I spend most of my time reading journal articles and relevant blogs or watching MIT open courseware lectures. (Listening to music continuously) I'm trying to get an open source nanotech initiative started - to keep key developments out of the proprietary monopolies. One day this will all add up to cancer fighting robots the size of blood cells (at little or no cost to the patients).

For fun I go out and listen to live music (sometimes recording the show). Maybe dance a little (by myself or with one of my lovely dance partners ;)

The type that usually doesn't speak to strangers. Can be quite outgoing on occasion. Quiet, but if you get me going I enjoy conversation - a good listener. Jaded but hopeful. Eyes set on the stars - one day we will call them home.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll host if i get a chance. I used my building for a homeless shelter one winter (before CS).

Update - I hosted one traveler in College Station - it was ok.

If I travel I would try it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Being homeless as a child and teenager and a bit in college - I know the value of safe refuge. I have not yet used CS.

Update - I crashed at a friends in Austin for about 10 days (Thanks) - now I'm hosting in Austin.

Intereses

Anything in science - Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Astronomy, "Nanotechnology"

Helping change the world from a scarcity economy to a better place.

Listening to live music, recording music. Viewing art.

Gardening - i have a plot at the A&M Community garden and a nice garden at home. Love those fresh tomatoes and peppers!
