About Me

ABOUT ME

I have been a 'technomadic tourist' for the last 5 years and have had grand adventures throughout the country. Most of that trip has been with the use of a 19' rv, coupled with an old rv and a motorcycle (quite a caravan). I've "settled" in the Bay Area to be closer to family. My fortune has been good upon my return and I have 'couchsurfed' on a friend's houseboat in Alameda and have become quite spoiled.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am touring the NW via motorcycle with backpack/tent in tow. I've frequented a number of the hot springs along the way, but do find that I'm social in nature and I enjoy the opportunity to meet kindred spirits.

Interests

I have many interests, but the top of the list would have to be hiking, camping, mountain biking, climbing, reading (philosophy, eastern traditions, Kerouac, Thoreau, Whitman, etc.), art, science, and any and all opportunities to learn something new and try something that pushes my horizons.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My journeys over the last 5 years have been amazing. I've fallen in love with the deserts of the Southwest. One of the most interesting places to visit is a little dive in the desert called Slab City. I spent three months last winter there, living and studying my master's. I left with many friends who I am still in contact with.

Most recently I lived a year on the Big Island of Hawaii studying permaculture and living in community. It's good to be back on the mainland and traveling, but I do miss swimming with the dolphins.

I used to play volleyball for the USAF and would travel throughout Asia and Europe playing other countries. Obviously, those experiences were priceless and I still enjoy a good game today.
