Overview
About Me
I've found the more I travel, the more I realize how incredible our world is. Be it from a mountain summit or below the surface of the sea, I love to experience what this planet has to offer. I recently graduated with BS in Environmental Science, and I like to talk about energy and water and how the world has a chance to not be doomed when I'm feeling particularly optimistic.
I have yet to settle down for a permanent position, as I'm planning a round-the-world trip beginning early next year. That said, I have an eclectic blend of employment: lifeguard, Jimmy John's bike delivery, soccer referee, and wilderness trip leader. I'm not so sure where I am going to end up in life, but I've learned to find excitement in such uncertainty, not anxiety.
Insert Standard John Muir quote here:
"The world's big and I want to have a good look at it before it gets dark.”

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find the part of any experience that ties everything together is the people. Meeting a new friend adds much more character to a particular place.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you the ways of bike touring, but likely more from a theoretical side, as it's both time consuming and rather resource-intensive (absolutely worth it though). I'm pretty good with paracord if you want to learn some knots as well.
Looking to learn the ins and outs of a place that having local connections can provide, be it an amazing hole in the wall taco shop, a nice spot in nature, or virtually anything off the beaten path.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some stories, a plethora of dad jokes, or manual labor.
