CURRENT MISSION
Because of covid and our age we now have not been OS for 5 years which we miss. Because we now haven't travelled for a while OS we are touring around Australia instead, which we are thoroughly enjoying. We miss our couchsurfing and even though we aren't going overseas atm we would love to still meet people and share our beautiful home and garden with couchsurfers

ABOUT ME

PLEASE READ MY PROFILE PROPERLY, we love having people stay with us, but unfortunately .we live 60k out of Adelaide and there is no good reliable public transport available. We can help sometimes with transport and sightseeing.

I am 73years of age, retired and have a partner of nearly 21years, Geoff, my partner also retired so our plan is to travel lots and lots in the next few years, at least around Australia. We have travelled lots already but want to do lots more. Our children are 2 boys and 1 girl, 42, 41 and 39 We have 7 most beautiful grandchildren,Soraiya 4months, Alara 2years Jay 7 years, Jazz 7 years, Savanna 9,Jesse 12 andLucy 14years.
With the children all grown up and settled we now think its "our time". Geoff races Kawasaki sidecars so when we travel, the bike comes with us and Geoff races lots while we are on the road.
We dont smoke but Geoff enjoys a glass of red while i prefer a bourbon or vodka.
We love life and look forward to meeting new friends while we are travelling and to learn all about different countries etc

PHILOSOPHY

"never to grow up" lifes too short so enjoy life and appreciate what you have.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have unit which has a bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom seperate from the main house for our couchsurfers, so if staying with us you have your own little space where you can rest up and be free to come and go as you like. We found when we were travelling that it
was tiring and it was nice to just relax... we like
to know that our cs friends are relaxed when they leave our place all ready for more
Australian adventures

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We travelled around the USA in 2011 for 3month and Europe and the UK in 2013 for 5 months and again Europe for 6 months in 2015 and just got back from the USA 2017 after 6 months. Even though we travel in a motor home we still like to meet people even if just for a visit 😁 We met the most amazing people on our travels, who we would never have met if we didnt CouchSurf. Through CouchSurfing we now have friends all over the world who we still keep in touch with :) During our 2015 trip to Europe we brought a motor home and caught up with couchsurfers who have stayed with us or who we stayed with back in 2013. And in 2017 we caught up with couchsurfers that we met in 2011 in the USA.
2019 we spent around 4 months travelling around Australia from coastal areas to driving thro the centre of Australia Great Central Road which included over 1000km of desert, corrugated roads and sand.

Interesses

we both enjoy music, most types, any kind of motor sports, cars and bikes, travelling and walking
Geoff has a large collection of old bikes which one day he hopes to find the time to restore..
Our collectables include old dolls, AC/DC memorbillia, VW cars, bikes, teddies and old farm machinery etc
