About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spend more time talking to people than looking at rectangular screens.

ABOUT ME

I just graduated from University of Michigan and I'll be starting grad school in California in the fall (gettin myself a phd in physics). I don't have any obligations this summer (2012) so I'll be travellin as much as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

"When I do good, I feel good; when I do bad, I feel bad, and that is my religion." -Honest Abe

I think selflessness is the surest path to happiness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a newbie who's excited to finally try surfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted one person last summer. It went well but my roommates weren't okay with housing 'strangers' so I haven't done any hosting since then. I haven't done any surfing ever.

Interests

I like music, cooking, riding my bike, free stuff on craigslist, writing (what I intend to be) funny articles for the satirical campus paper, playing music, brewing beer and all sorts of other things. Physics and math, too.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut. Ever read any? I think you'd like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After spending a week hiking in Big Bend National Park, my friends and I swam across a thin section of the Rio Grande. We later learned that it's a $6000 fine if you're caught. That's the only time I've been to Mexico!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a bachelor's degree in physics and (hopefully) I'll have a PhD in a few years. I also know a thing or two about brewing beer and tinkering with whatever I can get my hands on (I'd say "fixing" but that'd be kinda dishonest).

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Slovakia, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
