ABOUT ME

Easy going chap with a nice barge (narrowboat) in either Herts, Beds or Bucks, England. I like people who are respectful. I despise arrogant show offs. I am an awful cook, but excellent tour guide. I have a normal walk and a loveable large, friendly dog. I like to walk the canal towpaths , eat curry, drink large quantities of wine and would prefer to win a vast amount of money to prevent ever having to work again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have enjoyed travellers from Moscow, Hamburg and an Aussie popped in for 4 days at the beginning of the year. ... a great Polish girl, Patrycia showed me round Krakov and allowed her mom to feed me fabulous Polish food. Luisa came to Oman and stayed for 24 hours and then invited me to stay in Hamburg where we partied pretty hard and she showed me loads of sights. My good friends Yulya and Tim showed me the delights of Moscow and St P and Stef made me feel so welcome in Beijing. Crazy Francesco stayed as part of his world trip .. Kate from Hungary entertained me when she stayed with her stories and predicted my star sign and was only 3 days out from my birthday! Very spooky indeed.

Interests

..finding myself in a strange place with strange people is always good fun ... but equally ... the art of ensuring that 'normal' life does not become mundane; is the task I am trying to master at the moment ...
