About Me

currently back in NZ but have no house.
So just looking to hangout meet people

Just finished travelling around some of Europe.

So not hosting anyone but can still give you travel tips advice about anywhere in the South island of NZ.

When did CS become tinder?
No longer verified, why? because I love the adds CS has decided to use. ;)

I am a rock climber, hiker and general explorer. I have spent most of my life thus far in Te Wai Pounamu (SI), Aotearoa (NZ). Living on a lavender farm, and then studying, since I was 11 I have been working in various jobs for $$$ urgh hate that its neccessary. From planting Leeks to bartending, all my jobs became a way to travel around the Island and explore new places and meet new people. It helped me figure out what I do and don't like work wise...

My adult life was spent in Dunedin for 5 years studying after graduating I went travelling/work in Canada and then I moved back to Dunedin to co-ordinate an 'at risk' youth programme and my last work was an outdoor guide and instructor.

I am an advocate for the beautiful Papatuanuku, she needs care and consideration, especailly now.

I love adventures and beautiful places urban and natural. But when urban has too many tourist groups it makes me a little frustrated.

I eat Vegan and when I am stationary I try to buy only from sustainable and fairtrade producers, whilst travelling it makes it more difficult to know the origins of foods, especailly because there a different standards in each country.

I have meet a lot of people lately who say I am not an 'in your face vegan', advocacy is important but only in the right way.

if you read to here in itself this is enough of a read to understand some of who I am, and I thank you. I think it is imporant to know who you are going to host/surf with but also leave somethings unsaid so you have talking points :)

Peace

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Cultural exchanges, meeting interesting people and sharing my experiences with others, it is cleché but the truth. I think people make a travelling experience a lot more fun and It's awesome when you learn new things about a place based on the person perspective.

Why I host: I think it's great to offer a fun place for people visiting my city, and I get to learn a little about their place too

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ugh how do you choose just one.

I suppose the most traquil would be sleepping in a hammock in the Canadian wilderness.

But otherwise the most adrenaline filled was the Nevis canyon swing which is the biggest in the world near Queenstown, NZ.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know about NZ history and Māori culture and can share that knowledge, along with plants and wildlife.

Teach you how to cook amazing food and I may share it with you :p

Learn: anything, most things interest me currently enjoying culture in these forms art/music/architecture

What I Can Share with Hosts

interesting conversations and insight knowledge into NZ, and knowledge on how to cook vegan low cost but with flavour.
