Overview
About Me
Kia Ora everyone
I was born in raised in New Zealand. I moved to London in April 2016 on a two year visa to work as a contract accountant in between trips to see as much of Europe as possible before I got kicked out.
My visa ended and I didn't want to go to NZ, so I am moving to Amsterdam for probably another 2 years
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting locals and experiencing their cities through their eyes is one of my favourite things to do when travelling. Some of my favourite cities that I have visited, are favourites because I was with local people giving recommendations and sharing their experiences.
Although I am relatively new to couchsurfing on my own profile and don't have many references, I have been informally involved for a long time. My parents used to have couchsurfers to stay when I was in school, I always loved meeting the people and hearing about all the exotic places they had been (every place was exotic when you lived at the bottom of the world).
I have also couchsurfed with my brother Sam through his profile, staying in various places from South Korea to Amsterdam.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music, particularly New Zealand music like Shapeshifter and Fat Freddy's Drop.
I enjoy watching movies and will watch anything from serious dramas to romantic comedies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing wild Orangutans in a sanctuary in Sarawak, Borneo, and seeing the alpha male so totally comfortable with his place in the world.
Staying with a friends family in a district in Ho Chi Minh were tourists were very uncommon and getting stared at every time we walked around outside.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach anyone about Kiwiana (New Zealand culture). I'm not much of a cook (unlike my brother who was a chef), but I am happy to help out anyway that I can.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Friendly conversation, one day a place to stay in New Zealand for all of the amazing people I have meet through my travels.
