HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not looking for free rent- If I wanted to wonder the cities alone id take a hostel.i am looking for a way to see a place with different eyes. I am looking for someone who is up for a bit of adventure, in conversation or on foot (if they have time) and I offer the same- I can take you to breathtaking places, usually of a natural nature, I can introduce you to beautiful people and no doubt that will be over a meal of pancakes, a pizza part or some local market get together.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

ive had many people come and stay- it has always been great because they offer fresh eyes and it is a chance for me to offer the warmth, laughter and adventure that others have shown me on my travels

traveling is always more fun when some one shows you an aspect of what they love in their life or town or city-

I make films. Mostly about interesting people or adventures but some times just to explore textures and light with a camera.

I have spent a lot of my time traveling- most often as a camera operator/director/producer

I am completing my Masters in Science Communication at the moment

Music? I hate music... all of it (is that the same as saying "I like all sorts of music, as long as its good)

I like the music a river makes while you walk along its path that winds closer then further away then closer again.

The music of foreign talking, of the ocean clicking, fingers sliding on piano keys between notes,of people talking to themselves of the moment when they call for silence.

ive spent three months sailing around isolated coastal communities in Vanuatu and Papua new guinea, teaching people how to monitor the health of their reef and making a promotional film for Oceans Watch. After two weeks of blue water (no land) sailing I woke in the dark to a volcano erupting meters away from our boat
