About Me

I am a dual Danish/USA citizen. I’ve travelled to 39 countries- my goal is 50 before I turn 30. After 5 years working in a nonprofit, I’m starting my Masters of Science in Engineering and Management at MIT. In my free time, I am an improv comedian, podcaster, writer and casual photographer.

Trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. And where I want to live.

I’m polite, clean, pretty straight-edged. But I love a good beer and a conversation about anything at all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favorite part of traveling solo is meeting locals and getting their recommendations of where to go. What better way to know a place than than to live with locals?

Interests

Interested in understanding people - how they make decisions, how they think. Interested in art, theater and dance -- anything to put creative energy into the world. Interested in human centered design, and how to make this world a better place. Interested in travel and seeing as much of this world as possible!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite song: Stay Alive by José Gonzales
Favorite band: Queen
Favorite author: Shel Silverstein or Neil Gaiman
Favorite tv show: Would I lie to you?

And oh so many podcasts!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve hiked the Camino from Porto to Santiago de Compostela. I just rode in a hot air balloon in Cappadocia, Turkey — stunning landscape, beautiful views and sunrise.

My favorite travel memory is being welcomed into a stranger’s home in Croatia, invited to watch the world’s oldest jousting competition with his family.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've led workshops in behavioral science, public speaking, active listening and improvisation. So if you want to learn any of that, happy to share :)

And always looking to learn other people's perspectives, and swap travel stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A bottle of wine (or a few beers) and a good conversation about whatever. Plus I'm a decent writer / editor if that's of any interest.
