Hi!

I am new to the wonderful world of couch surfing! I have spent the last 5 years living in Townsville as a Marine Biologist. I used to work at the aquarium here as an education guide and diver- which was a lot of fun. If any one is dropping into Townsville in the next month or so let me know and I can pass on some free passes to Reef HQ Aquarium.

Aside from Marine Biology- I LOVEEEE YOGA, nature, walking, hiking, water..in general..day dreaming, bike riding, journalling, aerial silks..all things simple :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason I joined couch surfing - I am about to embark on my first solo and extremely extended travel holiday! I am coming to meet you all :). I am super friendly, can you tell? Really, my partner recommended it to me as he made some wonderful friends on his travels just last year! Seeing as your all so lovely, I thought I'd give it a try and hope to return the favour!

On my travels I don't want to just see the big iconic tourist places or eat tourist versions of local food..I want to meet people who are happy to walk with me though their favourite streets or forests or want to eat cheap but delicious traditional foods..be with real people. The best holidays I have had have been the ones were I was just visiting friends who I had spent time with while they were here - so thats the dream!

PLEASE NOTE - THE REASON I AM NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING GUESTS IS:
I will be travelling Europe from April to July this year, than North America and Canada. So technically, I have no couch to share - BUT! As soon as I go, come visit me! So I can return the kindness shared on my travels! - Tim tams are on the menu :)

Interests

The oceans - sharks in particular. Yoga, nature (national parks, hikes, rock climbing, kayaking - wildlife!). Food but I am a low maintenance vegetarian who eats fishes. Coffee..yummm...other travellers :) Aerial silks!!! - If any one does I'd love to tag along! Nature.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughs! I am not suggesting I am a joker or funny but my brain and mouth don't talk to each other so sometimes...things are not quiet as they sound. I just like company - I talk a fair bit but it's only cause I am truly interested in what people have to share. I hope that I can share travel tips from Australia, make new friends and return the favour when I get back to Australia. If any one wants vegemite and tim tams as payment let me know in advance! ;)

And..I am clean, so am more than happy to pull my weight in that department :)
