ABOUT ME

I've lived in Melbourne mostly but traveled and lived in the UK for about 3 years. I love travelling and have seen a lot of Europe and also Canada. More recently I traveled the Trans Siberian across Russia to Mongolia and China; it was epic! I'm based in Melbourne now, quite settled and very happy; so far it's going well! I'm vegetarian; love a good soy latte or a cocktail. I love meeting people from other cultures and learning about different ways of life. Dancing, singing and music are the rest of my life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a few people in the past and have finally surfed myself and have had a great experience. I've lived in Melbourne, London and Birmingham and I love hosting people or just meeting up!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfing is unbelievably different to staying in a hotel/hostel. It is amazing how much more of the country you actually see and understand. I have realised that holidays I have taken in hotels have meerly skimmed the surface of a country's culture!

Interests

Music, gigs, indie, Britpop, salsa dancing, ceroc dancing, Singing, arthouse films, foreign films, travel and animal photograhy, travelling to other countries, fascinated with linguistics and languages (I speak basic French and Dutch), vegetarian food, vegan food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love independent cinema, a foreign films are often great, you learn a lot about people and culture! I've read the 44 Scotland St Series and I'm loving it! Now I'm reading some Phryne Fisher mysteries and also Plato and a Platypus walk into a bar, philisophy though jokes!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped teach Aboriginal children sing some songs in a very small town (pop. 80) in the middle of central Australia.
