ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in the U.S. and have lived on the East Coast my whole life. Right now, I'm living in the Boston area and will be starting graduate school this fall to study public policy and government. For the last 10 years, I've worked in the economic and social justice movement in the U.S.

This summer, I'll be doing my first serious travel in several years! I'll be visiting Iceland and then parts of Central Europe (maybe Eastern Europe too!)

PHILOSOPHY

keep on fighting and keep on loving

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After couchsurfing with some amazing people on my roadtrip to Mexico through the south a few years ago, I returned the favor by hosting many folks when I still lived in Providence. I haven't been involved in the CS community since I moved to Boston, but this summer I plan on jumping back in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had nothing but amazing experiences through couchsurfing so far, both hosting and surfing, and have met many incredible people I never would have met otherwise.

You know, same old stuff as anyone. Music, eating, travel, reading, learning, going out with friends (new and old), etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

that which invokes a sense of urgency, purpose, awe, and deeper meaning. you know it when you hear it, read it, or see it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A particularly amazing experience was in Milpa Alta, a neighborhood in Mexico City, drinking pulque in the living room of an old man who painstakingly makes the pulque himself, and has every day for decades. It's distilled from the water of the maguey cactus, but unfortunately, it's a custom that is disappearing as not many in the younger generations are learning the art of making pulque.

Teach, Learn, Share

I may be able to teach a little guitar; and I'm always looking to improve my pretty meager cooking skills.
