ABOUT ME

My name is Tonik and i live quite modest life in the city of Prague. I'am doing my master's in aesthetics at Charles University and work as a bartender in one small cozy bar located in the historical centre of the city (http://barduende.cz).

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a kind of taoist in that i'm seeking such a configuration of my mind and life in which i can feel naturally and balanced...
I prefer compromises over conflicts...

Interests

Currently I'm working on my thesis about theory of metaphor. I like to read books about philosophy and cognitive science and in the future i would like to transform my education into something more useful (perhaps to become a teacher, who knows...).
I would like to travel across Europe, especially to those places with a high concentration of open-minded people and alternative culture. From cities that i have visited I realy enjoyed Copenhagen and Berlin. Next time I would like to go to Vienna and London.
Here are some ideas or movements which i am fun of: radical democracy, open society, D.I.Y, sustainable development, queer, freetekno, transhumanism and i could probably find some more...
As for the music, i like many kinds... My favorite women musicans are Patti Smith and Nina Hagen. Otherwise i like, IDM, dubstep but also some jazz and classics... I also play the piano a little bit.
Last but not least i like to drink good whiskey and rum. :)

Among my favorite authors are J.L. Borges, Robert Musil, Franz Kafka, Jack Kerouac and other beatniks... unfortunately last few years i read almost only nonfiction books...
