HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wasn't sure what I was getting into, but I've really enjoyed all the people I've stayed with and the people I've met here.

There's something about this site that brings people together in an authentic way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience was staying with a couch surfer on an island off the coast of Honduras. It was spontaneous and awesome.

More recently I traveled through Mexico with another CSer. Really great experience/adventure.

I travel like Bear Grylls !
You are a hardcore traveler with a stomach of steel, and you'll eat a grub out of a tree long before you are even hungry. You can't remember the last time you showered, but you still look good.

Anything by Ursula K. Le Guin, Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk... Classics when I'm feeling studious, the Dune series, Catcher in the Rye, Treasure Island, The Giver, Life of Pi, Good Omens, The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Lilith's Brood, Galapagos, Cat's Cradle, Siddhartha, His Dark Materials . . .

Still reading Song of Ice and Fire--it's so long. O.o

And now you know I'm a nerd. Nice to meet you. ;)

Music: I'm not picky. Unless it's not good, then I start getting picky.

And I love movies, too. But this section is already way too long.

I like to practice Spanish even though I'm not brilliant at it.

I enjoy helping people practice English. Don't be afraid to speak to me even if you are just learning.
