About Me
[Canadian - Living Beautiful British Columbia]
{INFP}
[God is Love]
{YWAMmer}
[Of Dutch, English and Scottish decent -mainly Dutch though]
In Canada, I have had the opportunity to live:
-On a beautiful island
-Up north surrounded by dark green forests and dump loads of snow in the winter
-In the prairies with huge open skies
-In a valley filled with lakes and rivers and surrounded by mountains
-I have also lived in Vancouver, one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to (I may be biased though)
Outside of Canada, I have also been able to live in a tropical beachside town on the Gulf of Mexico in Florida.
Will be heading to school in Perth, Australia to become a midwife for third and second world countries
As like many fellow backpackers and travellers, I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and learning from their life experiences!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have always loved the idea of travellers helping other travellers out. Of people sharing their home and country with people from other countries. l love that despite all the wars and rigidness between countries, people can look beyond that and open their homes to foreigners and that foreigners are willing to come and explore.
Although I have travelled, I never couchsurfed before and I am excited to try it. I have only had one couchsurfer at my house before and it was a really neat experience.
In the middle of May, I have decided to take the scenic route from Canada to Australia and stop in Europe (verrrry scenic route) and Southeast Asia. I will mainly be heading to Europe to visit many of my good friends in Germany, but thought I might as well take the opportunity to see a bit of the rest of Europe as well.
Rough Itinerary:
Canada-England-Scotland-Germany-Netherlands-Germany-Philippines-Indonesia-Australia
Interests
-I love learning: Anthropology fascinates me (I love trying to understand more about this insane world), as does health (specifically women's health) and nutrition
-I'm a big foodie.
-Like most travellers, I always have "the next trip" on my mind
-I love white water rafting (although I have only done it a few times), snowshoeing (can't get enough of it up in the mountains near where I live), biking (especially in Vancouver), hiking and swimming
-I enjoy cooking and baking, tea, beer, reading, making kombucha, hammocks, being in nature, trains, camping, hot and humid weather, the ocean (one of my biggest loves), and, of course, eating FOOD!

Living in the desert in Northern Kenya among various tribes.
Skinny dipping late one night and being surrounded by phosphorescence off a little remote island in the south of Vietnam
Some of the best moments in my life have been the most spontaneous and unplanned ones...which happens usually every time I have travelled
