About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make the world a happier place to live in
ABOUT ME
What to say? I've had a pretty comfortable upbringing in the leafy suburbs of North London, but felt compelled to go travel and explore the world as soon as I could. So I jetted off on my gap year, saying goodbye to friends and family for a year to live in Japan and travel round Asia-Pacific. The travel bug bit again a few years later when South America took my fancy and I spent a few months travelling round and seeing the sights.
Other than that, I've become increasingly conscious of sustainable living, leading to participation in solar car racing - go check it out! www.cuer.co.uk
PHILOSOPHY
Just get out there and have fun, while making the world a better place. Experience everything, meet everyone and live life to the fullest - you have every right to do anything so long as it doesn't hurt anybody else.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couchsurfed a little down under but I've been pretty neglectful since... Time to change!
Alas, my housemates weren't too keen on me bringing back random folk back from the pub so hosting is a definite no-no... for now.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Limited but excellent. I've stayed in a spare room and in a living room down under, very different but both great experiences. Definitely something to build on.
Interests
Sleeping in and late fried breakfasts. Hockey, park football (the type which requires minimal skill and even less stength) and trying to juggle. Wasting time doing small, pointless things that amuse me for an hour or two and then finding something new and equally pointless to do instead. Many things really, and I'm always happy to try something new!

Music, Movies, and Books
Indie/soft rock music and Terry Pratchett books. More recently, Miyazaki and Despicable Me. Other films like Zoolander and an oddbox selection of Miyazaki and Spanish ones, like Spirited Away and Amores Perros. Things that make you think, Catch-22 and the usual Matrix/Batman (of Chris Nolan genius)-type films. Oh, and pop science books. It's just the inner geek in me trying to make itself heard.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekking through rainforest, in Malaysia and the Amazon. Funnily enough, there's always at least one drunken Irishman at the end of the trail.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Canada, China, Ecuador, France, Peru, South Korea, Viet Nam
Countries I’ve Lived In
Japan, United Kingdom
