I am a 25 year old musician, born and raised in the Bay Area. I've been working at a nonprofit music school for several years and keep myself busy playing in bands and the like. I love to travel. I love to cook. I'm usually pretty high-energy and engaged, but I also love to sit and listen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am circling the globe without using a plane and making a sound art project. I leave the Bay Area on October 1 and make my way east until I get back to San Francisco. My route currently takes me through the USA, Europe, Russia, Mongolia, Korea, and Japan.

On the way I hope to collect sounds. City sounds, linguistic sounds, musical sounds, travel sounds, environmental sounds, lots of sounds. And I think the best way to do this is by reaching out to local people and having them (you!) point me towards the most distinct sounds in the area, the things you can't hear anywhere else.
